Thanks, but happen to have the same shots wide open?
definitely not for the first two shots, I was mostly concerned with whether it could pull off landscape, I might well have some for the last shot though (unless they got deleted already), I'll have to check
wide open, the edges won't be as good, especially not at 47mm, at f/4 I know the 24-70 II (and 24 1.4 II too for 24mm) definitely does better across the entire range (other than perhaps right near 70mm at the far edges); I forget but I think right near 50mm the edges like at least f/6.3 (and do best f/7.1-f/8 and up) and elsewhere at least f/5 (and definitely do best f/6.3 and up) on FF, although it somewhat depends upon what sort of shot, how the field curvature fits the scene and how far the subjects are and such. The 24-105 and tamron 28-75 2.8 aren't exactly FF edge kings at f/4 though either and the 24-105 doesn't get better as much as you stop down as this 24-70 f/4 IS does, at least not with the copies I've seen certainly not near 24mm, even at f/8 and f/10 I was never particularly pleased with any 24-105 near 24mm that I tried.
