Who is Steve Huff? I know him as a blogger, not a photographer. He advertizes the cameras too enthusiastically so the reader of his forum would click the link and buy it.
Besides, I did not see any good photos on his website except his lovely wife and son... Oh, and a dog (almost forgot). I've never made my decision of purchasing camera based on Steve Huff's review.
IMO Canon 6D and 24-105 is a perfect match . I would not spend $2K on Canon 85 1.2 for using it with entry-level DSLR anyway.

Its a lousy AF system for sports, but OUTSTANDING for low-light work. All depends on what you want to shoot. As I shoot mostly portrait and travel, love shooting in available darkness and value light weight over AF-tracking of moving objects the 6D is currently Canon's best body for my uses.
