Agreed, smoking hot deal !!!

I bought this pair 45 minutes ago after reading about it on canonrumors

B&H check out closes for 28 hours starting in 30 minutes
Now 15 minutes to go before they close till Saturday Nite...
...And now they are closed.

I see it as $800 for the lens & $1200 for the 6D.
Or $100 more than 70D:

This is the lowest price I've paid for any brand new full frame dslr

That basically puts the 6D at less than the 20D cost when it came out.
($550 for the lens and $14500 for the body, +/-50)

I bought the same combination for $2048 right before Christmas at B&H. Has it ever been this low?

Anyway, fantastic price for a fantastic camera/lens combo.

B&H is pushing sale for 24-105 , not 6D which should not cost more than $1300 anyway (considering max 4000 shutter speed and poor focusing system)

I'm not, just expressing my opinion.
I tried 6d and found it not a good value for money. that's all.

I changed my mind, I canceled this order.

I've seen some great images from 6D.
Some people get great samples of 24-105. Its a lens I've never owned or even played with.

I realized I don't need another full frame dslr along with a 2k charge on my paid off credit card.

Maybe I'll sell some gear before I buy another camera.

Poor focusing system? What other DSLR is rated to focus at EV -3? Thats right, there are none.

Yes, I got mine for $1850 just after Christmas. Not from B&H though.

Yeah.... one cross-type AF point. Very innovative Try to focus & recompose with 50 1.2 lens with 6D because this is the only option you have with single cross-type focus point. I want to see how "sharp" the image comes out.

EV -3? You sure? Full frame?

Ohhhh, those are crop sensors. Sorry, not in the same league.

Rented the 85/1.2 L for a shoot and I had no issues whatsoever wide-open. Routinely use my 85/1.8 wide-open and with focus-recompose I rarely miss. I haven't shot the 50/1.2L, but depth of field would be deeper than on the 85/1.2 and about the same as the 85/1.8.

Oh, google Steve Huff's review of the 6D with the 85/1.2L for MANY great examples of that lens shot wide-open, using focus-recompose on the 6D. Seems he nailed focus quite well too.

Its a lousy AF system for sports, but OUTSTANDING for low-light work. All depends on what you want to shoot. As I shoot mostly portrait and travel, love shooting in available darkness and value light weight over AF-tracking of moving objects the 6D is currently Canon's best body for my uses.

I also ordered one, although I already have a 24-105 lens... But this was the best deal I found for a new 6D, and I needed to purchase one quickly for an upcoming trip. I'll be looking to sell/trade the lens.

I use a 6D regularly at work and really appreciate the light weight (I do tons of hiking photography). I've found it to be a very capable camera for landscape photography and also - as others have mentioned - for working in low light situations. My only beef about the AF is having to use the center point for just about anything action-wise. I like to compose my shots using outer AF points, and I've not had success doing this with the 6D. So essentially, most action shots are a guaranteed crop to properly compose the photo.

Who is Steve Huff? I know him as a blogger, not a photographer. He advertizes the cameras too enthusiastically so the reader of his forum would click the link and buy it.
Besides, I did not see any good photos on his website except his lovely wife and son... Oh, and a dog (almost forgot). I've never made my decision of purchasing camera based on Steve Huff's review.
IMO Canon 6D and 24-105 is a perfect match . I would not spend $2K on Canon 85 1.2 for using it with entry-level DSLR anyway.
