I really like the VSCO 5 pack - perhaps the most practical for portraits that they've done so far (I have 1 &3 as well).

thank you

zeros all round on the settings. the camera is too new for me at the moment, I'm still learning.

the only change from absolute standard is that this was lit by a neon tube and was on astia colour settings for the skin.

I got my Xt1 just before WPPI and went to Vegas. I agree, too many buttons and too new for me having shot Canon for forever

The Q menu is not too intuitive, I would like to be able to customize that to key functions and navigation sux! I tested shooting with Vivtars and Pocketwizards and got sync speed at 250, not the 180 as advertised.

I posted some of the Vegas Strip shots in Urban.

Well I'm used to the x100 and x100s so it's easy for me to use (apart from the flat buttons). What I meant was that I'm not sure of the look I will get by altering the shadow settings etc because I've just started using astia colour so I'll keep it on default for the moment.

Love VSCO#5 as well. great image here. You mentioned Astia for skin tones what do you mean by that?

Did you use one of the Astia presets on the overall image or weer you able to apply one preset to the image and then somehow paint on Astia as skin tones with a brush?

No the astia settings are inside all the Fuji x cameras. You can take the pictures with a range of colour richnesses and tones and contrast, which then makes them a lot easier to post process, assuming you picked the right setting in the first place. There a 5 for colour and 3 for b/w.

So you used the astia color settings in the Fuji camera and then applied some type of VSCO preset on top of that?
