Please help me on finishing my lenses setup.

I'm having 18-55, 23, 55-200.
I ordered 56mm last night but I think I can cancel it within today.

Should I have either of these kit? ( I may get XT1 at the end of the year)
#1/ 14, 23, 60 , 55-200( will sell 18-55) or:
#2/ 18-55, 23mm, 56mm, 55-200 ?

Thanks a lot!

Woah, Steven! What's the rush?

It might make sense to add the 14/2.8 to your zooms, but it would also be nice to have the 56/1.2.

I suggest you keep your two zooms and add one prime, for now. Do you want a wider lens (14/2.8), or a really fast, medium telephoto lens (56/1.2), or a fast, normal lens (35/1.4)... ?

GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) is a life long disease. So take your time, you are not going to finish.

Agreed. I would get rid of all of it, and try only shooting one or two lenses for a year. Lens buying often turns into something similar to a carpenter buying every tool in the store before knowing what needs to be built.

First, cancel the order while you still can.

Second, think about what your goals are before buying more lenses.

Thank you all!
I cancelled my 56mm order and.. order 14mm ;-)
I'm going to sell all of my Nikon gears ( D600 +...) so I need to get some Fuji lenses otherwise I would use all the money for something else ;-).
I think I should take the advantage of the current rebates of 14mm (and 23mm) which saved me $350 totally.
I can always buy 56mm later at least at the full price, if not better.

Having 14, 23 and also 18-55 looks redundant but any reason to keep 18-55?? I know this is wonderful kit lens, particular for travel but I guess I don't mind carrying both 14 and 23.

Thanks as always!

Is there a huge difference between 14mm and 18mm? I never had any WA lens, even with Nikon FF.
Is Fuji 14mm comparable with Nikon 24mm 1.4 at 2.8, regard to sharpness and contrast?

Thanks!

Put the money into attending a workshop or local college course.

You will see a significant increase in contrast, sharpness, and content upgrade. It's the best hardware upgrade I ver made!

Sounds good but it's not in my plan, thank you anyway. I didn't know that there are college courses needed for hobby amateur photography ;-). Photos are just for funs, and to consume my free time in this short period of time, nothing serious that i have to take a college course ;-), but I agree it's helpful for some other people..

Sounds like a course would give you some good background knowledge to 1) be able to make your own informed equipment decisions and 2) increase your likely enjoyment by letting you get more out of your equipment

Photography, like many hobbies such as golf or skiing, is often more fun when you get some pointers on how to do it well.

The nice thing about a course or workshop is to get feedback and interact with other people who are also really into image making picture taking. If you operate in a vacuum, 99.99% of people will never improve or improve extremely slowly. Only when you have your assumptions and perceptions challenged by other people in real time in person do you really grow quickly as an artist or artisan.

Even in most online sharing sites, it's setup in a way to not really get you to improve since most people are too polite to challenge you. Flickr, 500px, etc are all setup such that it's all just patting on the back.
