Maybe it's just my eyes, but I've played with this for quite some time without finding a way to get colors that look right. It was shot in natural light, and the little girl was crawling on a blondish colored wood floor. Any thoughts as to whether or not this looks okay, or how it could be improved would be appreciated.

Looks okay to me. A bit hot, but not objectionably so. She's adorable. One way to check color is to look at the eyes. In her case, the whites are good, if a little bluish in her right (camera left) eye. At that age, it's normal.

How is this?

I subtracted a little blue, added some red, and adjusted the density/contrast in PS Curves.

That looks overly red; I think you overdid your adjustment.

To really correct this perfectly would be hard, because the light coming off the wood just does not match the rest of the light. To get this right would require a reflector that matches the incoming window light.

Its called color cast. The wood us reflecting a color cast onto the subjects face. You can have a look at this video on removing them.

Many thanks to those who offered suggestions.

Ed: Good point, as the window and wood floor are actually 2 separate light sources. Regarding the reflector, I'm not sure that's a viable option with a 1-year old that's in perpetual motion

I think it's fine as-is. A bit pale, but I think that is just her skin tone. Try B&W. FWIW

I'm not a portrait shooter, but I was attracted to this because it's such a great shot of an especially cute baby.
Because I'm not a tech person, I have learned a simple way to deal with color cast- and it works most of the time.
Here's my edit of the second version:
1. Used 100% auto color.
Charlie
Note: I also tweaked focus on eyes and mouth.
Please PM me if you want me to pull the edit. No problem.

That looks pretty good except the sharpening

I think Charlie's got it... what don't you like about the sharpening?

Just use Capture NX2 .. go to color -> NCH -> Correct the croma . so the pink will disappear.

I agree with reducing the sharpening. It almost looks like the baby has some make up on.

The sharpening looks too overdone in comparison to other parts of her face....reducing it a bit more would work better.

Cute baby!!

The main question was about the color cast- and that's what I was dealing with.
That I also tweaked the sharpening was incidental and of no real importance to me.

Totally understand and agree where you are coming from Charlie. My comment was to answer Ernie's question and not directed to you. Sorry if it seemed that it was.
