I dont think it will be cloud only. At least I hope not. I am heavily invested in Apple and I can't see myself adding another brand with different apps. I would like a surface but wont buy one just to run 1 app. Maybe one day there will be an Aperture version for the iPad or Adobe will make their mobile LR decent.
yep , i have a bunch of apple stuff as well (imac, ipad, iphone ) . dont get me wrong I love the ipad to bits (still the best alround tab in my opinion ) but I just got to frustrated with it as a photo device (but the silly thing is it makes a great photo viewer) .
why apple haven't done some sort of App that integrates with Aperture (properly) i dont know . if they did that I would most likely be using aperture instead of LR5 . iphoto on the ipad is ok but still falls way short of what I want .
When I say it LR mobile is likley to be a cloud thing I hope your right about it not being but unfortunately I doubt it .
When you look at the videos Adobe were talking about mobile in they seem to be saying you publish a collection to the cloud and LR on the Tablet then has access to it .
if its not cloud based then it will most likley be subscription based . the leaked App Store listing for it had it priced at $99 a year (or something like that) so maybe thats what they intend to charge for it and would probably throw it into the cost of PS CC if you subscribed thru that instead .
if thats the case then the low price I paid for my surface was good value
