We usually see photos of birds catching fish so hear is the sad truth that they don’t always succeed. This snowy egret was fishing in the Gulf of Mexico at St. Andrews State Park in Florida about two weeks ago.

While it did not catch this one, it caught many others.
I’ve noticed that it is brighter in Florida that New York. In new you’re my normal exposure for a white bird is: ISO 400, 1/1600, f8. In Florida I always have to go to 1/2000 to preserve detail in the whites. I wonder if it is the angle the sun is going through the atmosphere or if it is pollution?
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris
