p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · A Little Help on Manfrotto 3063 Head

I just picked up a Manfrotto 3046 Tripod with a Manfrotto 3063 Fluid Head. All in all it seems to be in great shape for its age, the only complaint I have is it seems a bit sluggish on the tilt. (Even with the lock nut backed way off) It kind of seems like maybe there's old stiff grease inside. My question is; do I get brave and start disassembling it? I have visions of ball bearings and springs flying all over. I've searched online and really cant find anything but some parts listing for it, but nothing that seems to show an exploded view of this head.

Finally, the 3046 Tripod seems sturdy as heck, maybe a bit heavy, but for its intended use I can deal with it. I guess for $50.00 I didn't do too bad ?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
