That look certainly gets attention Tim and maybe would even more so if it was staring down the lens. Am sure there is a story behind this too as it looks like a young male lion with females eating behind him perhaps on a buffalo kill and another male on the left eating too. If this is right.... then why is this guy not eating, maybe waiting on the dominant male to let him In fact I think he looks a bit not amused in having to wait, if this is the case.
Do tell, now that you have my attention or maybe you have done so already. Will read through the post.

Agreed Martin, it would be improved if he was looking directly at me. They were feeding on a fresh kill and seemed pretty full when we got there. The ate some and roamed around some, quite the life!!

Looks like even 500mm is too much of a lens to try out different compositions here.
