Just got back from spending 5 days in Florida visiting grandson, Viera Wetlands and Merritt Island. What a trip. Weather was in the 80s every day with some showers but shooting weather every single day. Spotting an American Bittern was on the top of my list of birds to find first of all and then try to get a decent shot of it. Since they hide in the cattails spotting them is most difficult and getting a shot is even more challenging. So I was quite happen to have found this American Bittern and with its prey no less.
