So I rented the Canon 200 f2 two weekends ago.
At 5.6 lbs., I can hand hold the lens for about 1 1/2 hrs..
After that I kept dropping my arms, I think you guys who owns this lens knows what I'm talking about
But it's a thing of beauty.
I paired this lens with Canon 6d.

beautiful processing and tones but that thing hanging down in the top right of the frame is pretty distracting. nothing you can do about it now unfortunately. but i do love the image.

Beautiful image. Great light. Lovely model.

Can't believe that lens is so sharp wide open.

I wish the image didn't have the foreground weeds, but that's just a nit. It's still an exceptionally beautiful image. Bokeh is fantastic.

Thank the Lord you did pair it with your 6D because this shot is superb. Agree with the above comment about the weeds in the foreground. I'd prefer to see all of her but still a stunning shot nonetheless.

Nice one.

Reedtess, I can forgive the weeds but I can't stop looking at that decomposed hangy-downy thing (that's the technical term). Crop closer or clone that thing out.
Ditto on the shot and model -- both keepers. Post more.

I'm thinking about the 135mm f/2L. It's >2lbs and, from what I've heard, it's just as sharp

I appreciate to all your comments.
The location was in an old abandon Nursery plant in an open field.
Part of the area had screen roofing where I placed her under for a more softer light to an already
cloudy day. All I need was a light fill.
Some of the screen roofing was torn apart where you can see the black thing hanging behind her.
It was meant to be part of the image but because of the shallow DOF, the screen is unrecognizable.
At the end of the day, I said I'm keeping my 85 1.2 II.
$3500 and weight difference is huge where I can create almost the same image with 85.
But Do I want this lens? Absolutely Yes if money is not an issue.
Thank you all.

+1 Beautiful photo. If possible, you might want to think of getting rid of the vertical pole in the left middle portion and possibly the right one.

Beautiful girl and everything else, but with the way her legs are posed she looks like a midget with very very short legs.

As has been said, beautiful light.

Her pose, coupled with the weeds blocking her legs, make it look as if her legs are *way* too short for her body (because you cannot see her bent knees too easily. Just stare at her eyes / face and you will see what I mean.

Make sense?

Aloha
