Hey Brian,

Very nice work here. I like them all, perhaps #1 the most because flowers in landscape shots always seem to take the cake!

That thud you hear is my jaw also hitting the floor. I'm also one who likes flowers in the landscape so the first one is my favorite, but all of them are fantastic.

Great set Brian. They are all very strong on their own.
On the first, the foreground is very interesting and composition very pleasant. The second is very well balanced with a strong darker mood. It's my personal favorite.
Great work!

All three are great. That pink glow in both sunset shots is perfect, and I love the warm/cool colours and spotlighting in the second. Did you by chance exposure bracket that second shot? It looks like there is some sensor banding in the foreground shadows that might be worth re-blending in some cleaner detail if you ever print it. It could just be the web version, however it isnt happening in your dark third shot at all.

Thanks everybody for your thoughts on these. That second shot was very underexposed. It was kind of an accident. I had my manual settings set for the shot before it, and forgot to readjust. I took two quick exposures on the run, as I wanted to move about 50 yards to another location before I lost the light.

looking at the raws yesterday, I thought what the heck. They looked kind of neat underexposed, so I worked the raw and ended up really bringing up the shadows. The only part properly exposed was the background . So yes, a little noisy. But it kind of looked a little " texturey " on the lake bottom, which I kind of liked. I doubt if I'll print it. I worked it for the drama, and I thought it came out better than I thought it would. I burned the third image foreground myself to work the light patterns for the effect I wanted. That one was properly exposed.

Thanks again everybody for your comments.
