I've had blank ones too. They just filled out their name and email address. No date, no comments, nothing that would give me any clue as to what they wanted.

I've had those before as well. They fill out the form and say nothing

Well it seems you guys win here. I find it quite amazing that someone would say nothing at all, but I guess not that unrealistic in much larger areas.

Interested in your pricing.

I think that's my shortest. I almost never hear back from people like that after sending them my pricing.

shortest has been .... are you available for our date?

Whats really been weird is in the last 4 months, I have booked 4 weddings from emails only exchanged. Then we chatted on the phone at a later time or met but booked before we met is weird to me. All great people though.

Nice.
I've got one I'm dealing with where they want me to drive a long distance because they want to see prints first.

Would they at least have paid for the cost of gas and tolls?

I have had a few submit only their name and email address, not even filling in the date field.

Turned out to be awesome clients though

Seriously why do people these days think that such a demonstration of poor etiquette is a proper form of correspondence with a business? Where's the salutation?

In the first email:

"YOOOOOOH"

2nd:

"ARREEEEEE"

2rd:

"AMAZZZZINGGG"

***

Just put it all that in one email instead of three, please.

My shortest inquiry wasn't actually in an email, it was the fastest/ easiest booking I have ever done.

Someone rang and simply asked " Are you the photographer that rides the Harley to weddings?" I said yes, I often take it as a prop for the clients to have photos taken with. Next thing was "great, how much do we pay you for the deposit?" I asked the date which was available and made a time for them to come see my work to make sure I did the sort of pics they wanted.

The deposit Cheque was dropped in the letterbox before I got into the studio the next day.

When they came in, they hadn't seen any other photographers, didn't intend on seeing any others and luckily loved my work.
After that was confirmed I banked the Cheque the next day.

That has happened several more times since where all they want to know about is the bike.
Still not sure if I should be insulted at that but I'm too interested in getting the bookings to worry.

My shortest ever lead time was DURING the wedding.

Hired Photographer only brought one roll of film ( yes, it was a while back) Then told the couple he would go home to get more but it would take him at least 2 hours to get back. On telling the reception people where the ceremony was held, they rang me, I made and agreement with the couple, threw on my suit and grabbed my bag and was there in 30 min.

First and only time I have been hired after the wedding had started.
