p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Children at weddings

I love shooting side-stories with children during weddings. They are so happy to be there and making wonderful actions that they are wonderful subjects to show gorgeous situations apart from the couple photos.

And you, do you manage to capture great moments involving children at weddings?

In case you want to see more of my photos, it's on my website.

I dislike the processing on the first, and then it's not consistent with the second.

Other then the processing, I really like the images you've captured here. TFS

I like the first shot, I wish there was a bit more context to what the kid was looking at, but still a cool photo.

I like them both .

They both tell a story, I like the the curiosity and awareness that children have. And these images show that well.

Looks like selenium toning done in a wet lab.

I had thought this thread was going to be about whether or not children should be disallowed from weddings.

Pics of the kids are always appreciated by mom's & grandma's. There's nothing fake about them - what you see is what you get. It's also fascinating to see how some of them, even as young as 3, can rock the house on the dance floor. They do raise the risk of having gear (e.g. lights stands) knocked down.

I really like the first one processing and all. The 2nd one has me still trying to figure out what is happening.

I usually capture at least one child while picking their nose. It's almost like a subconscious reaction..."camera is on me, pick nose!"

I immediately saw that has the small girl picking confetti (or rice) out of the brides dress. A nice find.

I could be wrong though. Perhaps she is planting tomatoes

Had a little girl (maybe 6 or 7) last week deliberately photobombing me while I was trying to get important shots. What's worse is she was a flower girl. Kept slowly leaning in front of my lens looking right at me, getting in the way of my subject. Needless to say I was a little peeved.
I also thought it was going to be one of those threads

I think kids are sometimes actually easier to photograph than adults. You can get some great "Natural" photos of kids that parents will appreciate sometimes more than their own pics. They seem to be less critical of the pictures.

You sound like you might be against children being allowed at weddings.

One of my "problems" as a wedding photographer is I have a tendency to not take pictures of the kids. Have a tendency to overlook 'em.

Indeed, the small was in fact picking the rice that stumbled in the dress garnment and was afterwards sending it back on the bride! It was quite hard to picture it but I love observing children but indeed, it takes time to figure out what they're doing :P.

I had an adorable flower girl (daughter of the groom) going around after the ceremony and picking up the petals so she could throw them again. Was able to get a couple shots of it, and it was freaking adorable. Got another shot of her any my roommate (sister of the bride) looking at a camera and smiling. She was definitely the life of the wedding!
