I use them in conjunction with the Yongnuo 568 flashes and they work perfectly. Have always used Yongnuo triggers and never had a failure. Brilliant, cost effective kit

has anyone got the 622n-tx to super sync with any alien bees flash?

I have a b1600 that hyper syncs w/ pocket wizards, but won't work w/ the 622n tx.

Also, is there any info on how to fine-tune the timing? there's an option to auto-tune, then go from '.1-3', but no mention of what that actually does or any instructions on what settings work best.

I literally tried taking a shot and bumping the timing by .1 intervals, and it did nothing to solve the rear curtain sync problems.

I'm using a d800 on 1/320 (auto FP). also tried it on 1/250 (auto FP). made no difference.

I think the tt5 flex/tt1 mini software is what makes the 1/8000 sync possible.

the 622n-TX has no software, only an ability to make firmware updates IF you have a pc.

I don't understand the fine tune either. I want to fine tune it to my Godox mono light, but there are no instructions on how to. I can HSS no problem, but fine tune

update: it's now syncing at 1/8000 with no curtain showing! not sure what I did. I'm using an ab1600.

Did you change the output of the AB?

yep. it worked from full power down to the lowest setting.

really not sure what I changed on my camera. I have two d800's. One had red=eye reduction turned on and was screwing with my firing by introducing a 1 sec delay. so that may have been the problem.

It also may have been something as stupid as not switching the 622n-tx to SS mode (I had the SS timing set to auto).

I use the Yongnuo;s all the time. 622C's synced up with a 5DIII and AB-1600. They sync my AB @ 1/8000 as well, for whatever reason.

Did some tests w/ the yn-622n transceivers and the 622n-tx trigger.

a few observations:

super sync works on an einstein, but only at full power.

There are no hard curtain shadows, only graduated shadows.

1/8000 has a graduated loss of power from top to center (about 1/3rd of the frame).

There are varying levels of graduated power loss down to 1/640 (probably even loss).

Though it's pretty safe to say you can shoot at 1/1000 w/o it being a problem at all.

Indoors against a white backdrop, you'll notice it a lot sooner. But it should be repaired w/ a gradient mask for exposure.

major difference b/t the einstein and b1600 is that the b1600 can be used at all power levels w/o a hard curtain shadow.

I did see that, actually I had yet to velcro up my triggers in this photo. Had I not already done so, your solution is certainly better

Does Yongnuo have a 622-TX for Canon, yet?

Are they even planning one? A separate controller is needed for Nikons because they don't have flash control menus in their bodies. With current Canon bodies you don't need an external control box.

Not yet. They were ramping up for production in May, but have run into a problem. Latest that I have seen is in YN's Facebook page - before October 2014 providing all goes well.

I have been using an engineering sample for some weeks. It will certainly extend functionality and ease-of-use for Canon users of the 622C.

P.S. Look for the release v.4 of TOYUG pdf, at

I've got a D7000 and SB600 and want a wireless ttl system similar to Pwizard MiniTTI and FlexTT5 that gives me complete iTTL remote control. Seems the Yongnuo equivalent would be a YN622N-TX flash controller with a YN622N-TX-iTTL transceiver. Do I have this correct? I assume with controller mounted on top of my D7000, the camera would think the SB600 is on top and work accordingly. Thanks in advance for the knowledge and insight.

I use the Canon YN622TX and three YN622C setup with triggers and have not had any problems. I think its worth the money, personally.
