Yeah, NEX-6 colors were pretty bad. I fixed them with this:

http://www.colorfidelity.com/

Helped make my D7100, D7000 (same sensor as 6), and EOS M look neutral, too. Crossing my fingers that an A6000 profile will be available, too. No more flaming bright saturation or over/underexposed colors, and skin tones are completely natural. Sunsets transition from orange to bright orange to white, instead of orange to yellow to white, too.

Nianys and BlueBomber,

Are you saying colors are bad with JPEGS or RAW? If RAW, what converter are you using?

Didn't like either. Using ACR/LR. Tried Sony's converter, but it was pretty terrible.

The Sony FE 70-200 F4 OSS will work on the aps-c bodies being an e-mount lens.

did some AF test with a demo unit in Sony Store. A6000 + SEL 16-70mm F4 ZA OSS & FE55 F1.8 ZA. 95% of the shots taken with AF-A settings

(and the A6000 looks like a downgrade from the NEX-6 & 7 if you're a heavy manual focus shooter. No way is a 1.44M EVF going to adequately replace a 2.36M one. A6000 looks awesome for the price though, it's just not high enough up the line for me).

I wonder about the EVF. Andrew Reid is quite lyrical about the A6000, even about the EVF: http://www.eoshd.com/content/12428/surprise-sony-alpha-a6000-video-mode-huge-improvement

The A6000 sensor is remarkably good, more efficient than the NEX-7 and right up there with the Toshiba. This is excellent considering it also has phase detect AF.

http://www.dxomark.com/Cameras/Compare/Side-by-side/Sony-A6000-versus-Nikon-D5300-versus-Sony-NEX-7___942_919_736

The Toshiba sensor in the Nikon D5300 has higher DR on paper, but the extra DR is useless in practice because of fixed pattern noise (banding).

Metamerism indexes:
NEX-7: 85
A6000: 82
D5300: 81

Now I understand why the pics look exactly the same as with the NEX-7. So the progress is better AF, better operation (for me, others jugde differently), better focus peaking, zebra, and faster electronics/calculation power.

Also significantly better video quality than any of the NEX models, according to the link I posted above.

DXO Mark tends to rate everything at base ISO. But once you get above that, the A6000 is superior to the NEX-6 and NEX-7:

Th D5300 uses a Sony Exmor and thus shouldn't have any banding. The D5200 used the Toshiba sensor and has the banding.

Sigma 30, Sigma 19, FE 55mm, FE 35mm. Are you forbidden to use full frame e-mount lenses on the aps-c bodies or something?

I don't know why I keep forgetting about those. Do they work in video as well? The sigmas go crazy in video and can't AF.

Why not the 18-105 for video? The distortion will be corrected on the a6000, and it is surprinsingly sharp. ephotozine.com/article/sony-e-18-105mm-f-4-pz-g-oss-lens-review-24056

The g power zoom and the 16-70 is better for video. The touits have an audible motor.

Anyone get a shipping notice yet from Sony? They claimed they'd start sending cameras out yesterday.

A friend of mine showed me his on Tuesday. Very nice, good high ISO performance and AF, in a dim cafe/bar, although I haven't been able to view the results on the computer yet.
