In 1855, long before Loran and GPS, the men of the sea used sextants and stars to navigate.
No batteries or electricity required, just a clear night and two stars.
Your comments are appreciated.
Thank you,
Tom

Thank you and yes it is our sextant. It came from Maine and the home of my wife's Aunt Jane, the author of "One Mans World, Popham Beach, Maine"
Thanks again,
Tom

Tom, beautiful sextant, and the charts brought back fond memories of bombing around Cap Cod Bay in a little Snark. Good luck!

Tom, A sextant plays a role in the movie "All is Lost" - which I watched last night. Good entry!
