p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Lonely Night Lights

I closed up shop 1/2 hr early last night & grabbed some thermals, jacket & my gear & went to try something I have wanted to do for a while.

Sky = clear - check
Moon = minimal - check
Tides = out - check

So I had no choice, try it out. I wanted to use the shift function on my tilt shift to gain more foreground, keep the pier straight as possible & include as much sky as possible.

So this image is 61 for the stars (it was late & I knew 100 or more would be a no go) and 1 for the fore & mid ground. Unfortunately some random cloud came through & I did get some flare from the lens being shifted but over all it was a good attempt at an image I have wanted to try.

Enjoy & CC or tips appreciated

Mike

Hey Mike,

This looks very nice! I like what you came away with, nicely light all the way around.

I think one of the things that makes shooting stars at night is there that mystery aspect of it, never really knowing what it will look like until we shoot it, and in some cases until we stack it.
