Nice shot. Left eye is out of focus and distracting. I have now seen a lot of pictures taken with this lens, and I can only conclude that the people who bought it were totally ripped off. Some very nice work has been done with it including this portrait, but there is nothing special that I see about this lens and it has severe limitations. I could see if it cost $50 and was advertised as a gimmicky lens or toy (like lens baby) But at its current price it seems a case of "the emperor's new clothes."

It depends what you like. If you're the kind of person who likes a lensbaby, you'll like this. If not, not.

It certainly isn't "better" than a modern lens. It's the "worse" that some of us will like. Imperfections.

I would like the image if both eyes were in focus.

I don't mind the lens baby look, but for a subject who is facing the camera, both eyes in focus is a must. Otherwise, looks like equipment error to me.

a "must" in photography?

what an odd concept. I wonder how Antoine d'Agata copes?
