Sometimes, you have to improvise, adapt, and overcome. I had intended to photograph birds of prey on this particular afternoon but my efforts were not being rewarded. In fact, I was getting skunked. However, I had remembered that the evening before the sunset was simply awesome. I was about 20 minutes away from this particular windmill in the ranch country but I decided to abandon the birds of prey. If I could get similar colors as the night before, I knew I'd have a shot I would really like. As I was driving, I could see the colors starting to form in my rear view mirror. All of you on this board know how fast those colors can disappear so I went just a little faster than the speed limit and got to this location with just enough time to get this particular photo. Getting skunked on this day turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Enjoy.
