Perfect for all the billions of photos today that get displayed at 800 pixels wide.
Seriously, the demand for MF gear and quality is largely driven by what magical properties people believe them to have.

I will not argue the excellence of the files but I do feel it is arguable that the resolution and ultimate quality is lost in virtually every possible application except large fine art prints where, I would hope, content would trump technique.
I actually do have to agree with Fuji that 16MP is plenty of resolution. Should one need a minimal DOF I suggest getting a 4x5 and shooting at f5.6.
