Is there a recommended way to use an old Canon 580EX, without a PC port, with a Pocketwizard PlusX? Is there a adapter that would attach the PW to the shoe mount of the flash?

I have something similar. The cord comes out of the port and it looks like the one linked does not.

Caleb....not sure i understand you.

The cold shoe goes on a stand, or such...and the flash fits on top..just like it does on a camera.
The cord (which comes out of the "cold shoe") goes into the PW
When the PW gets a signal, it fires the flash.

What is it about your statement.... it looks like the one linked does not....that doesn't fit the one
linked?
