Nice shot. I am always just a touch uncomfortable when I shoot them because I and always sure that I'm getting too close.

Nice shot. I've never trust the wasps though. Bees I'm fine with, but wasps seem to like to attack with much less notice :/

Hello

Yes don't get too close.

Over 20 years ago, I was in the Pyrennes with my children and found just such a wasps nest. I was using Olympus stuff and started taking pictures of the nest. Anyway I noticed two wasps seemingly talking to each other and one flew up and landed on the area between my thumb and index finger of my right hand and tried to sting me. It seemed that it did not sting me properly, so it left the sting in my hand, which was sort of throbbing and pumping. I flicked the sting away. It had had no effect, but from then on I made sure that I did'nt get too close to wasps and more so hornets.

I have the picture of the nest somewhere in my slide collection.
