Feel free to pick nits, offer suggestions, since I have had other comments on Critique and Nature and I am trying to integrate the feedback.

Taken in Serengeti NP, TZ.

nice critters, Scott.
to make them stand out a little more, you might think about cropping a little off the bottom,
as all the grass is not helping the image.
the sky also could use a bit more contrast. not too much, as you still want to concentrate on the beasts.
not that you can do anything about it now, but if you shoot fewer animals in the composition,
it is easier to work with and adds to the drama better.

Did not get a chance to offer timely comment on PC. Thoughts: echo Tom and is there more room to right? The inclination of the trees and right-most elephant's tusks rush the eye off-image to right (at least at this viewing). Know there was nothing you could do about that.

Know you had a wonderful experience. Fairly close?

Regards,

bob

thx, Tom. Got similar suggests on Nature about a bit more from the bottom.

thx Bob. Nothing more on the right. My bad. Except to do content aware fill which I have avoided so far.
Close? I am guessing 300 ft or so.

Get the elephants to look at the camera. Other than that, it's perfect!

An excellent image, Scott; I love it!
I wonder, was there more contrast on the scene? It looks a bit muted here.
Nothing a bit of added contrast couldn't fix .
I don't mean enough to lose all detail; just enough to give the image some pop.

Excellant capture Scott! I love elephants! Very steadfast, social creatures. I agree with Charlie about the contrast for pop but I really don't think it distracts from the image.
