Thinking about purchasing one of these for upcoming weddings. What are your thoughts on this particular one? I doubt it "handmade" but looks nice. How many of you use these in your work?

Thanks

How can you accessorize a bride unless you have a particular gown in mind to use it with?

I would think a laced white Umbrella would be universal. Unless gown didn't have any lase which really is common or the gown being a different shade of white, which is possible. I just wouldn't use it if that were the case. I'm I thinking wrong?

I'd like to see someone shoot the bride and bridesmaids all together under a single 86" PLM, using a tilt-shift lens. Could be hilarious.

I'll say that as a bride only 2 1/2 years ago, I would not have liked that umbrella. There's nothing wrong with it, and it's not ugly... it's just not my style (too lacey... too vintage-y). But for the right bride, it might wow them. So use with discretion.

I think it would be nice for a vintage look, but as mentioned it is not going to be for everyone, depends on the style, the location and feel of the wedding.

Do you really want the same prop in all of your photos.

Leave accessorizing the bride up to her.

Personally, I think something like this could come in handy on a rainy day, especially if the bride is not prepared or just shows up with a regular umbrella. This could go over well.

Given the price of these things, if I were to use one I'd let her keep rather than use it again. It's worth the $20 to have her gushing about you saving her photos with a pretty umbrella. People tend to remember shit like that...
