Hi All...

For years this area of Scottsdale, Arizona flooded during heavy rain storms stranding motorists and even claiming a few lives. In 2010 work was completed on eliminating that threat by building an extensive flood control project capped off with these 14-foot aluminum horses. Now during heavy rain run-off, water actually spews out of the horses mouths in addition to running harmlessly under the roadway.

Thanks, and good luck to all this month.

Sounds like a pretty cool project, and I like the sculptures.

A great idea and a novel solution.

That's pretty cool! Glad someone thought to add an artistic component to an otherwise industrial construction project!

BTW: Here's a
