I've been humbled by how hard it is to nail focus on yourself with no helpers.. especially when trying to check critical focus on my 5Ds LCD is almost pointless. I thought I was settling for a slightly soft image from the look of it on my LCD, but to my surprise it looked pretty sharp when I uploaded to LR!

I am working on my studio lighting skills. I have not done any post as far as skin softening goes (which I very much need) because I wanted to get C&C on my lighting, etc. before it got slightly manipulated. Thanks for looking!

As with the majority of digital images, there's arguably too much red or magenta for a pleasing skin rendition without some post-processing adjustments. Also consider a crop. Here's a version to consider that includes some adjustments to simulate less contrasting light, color tweaking, some retouching/reshaping and adding some vignette:

Very difficult to work on studio lighting without seeing how the light falls on your subject.
