Binh,
These are some fantastic images! I love the solitude portrait of the person(man?woman?) sitting. It tells much.
Her hands reflect years of manual labor, washing, making food, possibly tending fields...and ger expression is one of quiet solitude and introspection.
The bowl of colored yarn at her feet adds much to the mood of this composition.
The ruins, the palace, the monks......wonderful

I will note that the 3rd from the bottom has a halo edging the left side of the ruin but not really detracting.

A great series of a rare place in our world.
Dan

Dan, thanks for the compliments. Actually, that is not halo from post processing but from the use of the telephoto lens and focus on the sun far away using a wide open F-stop (F4, in this case, the lens is the 70-200mm F4), therefore there was that fuzzy, blurry look on the temple. I could try to fix that so that it is blurry but not having that hazy looking outline, but I elected to leave it as is.

On the portrait, that was a woman, and I was just lucky to catch her gazing out the door of the temple or shrine where she was a keep of that.

Thanks again for the complement.

Glad to share. I was so glad that I did. Before I had gone, I had some concerns about security, safety, etc..., however, after this trip, these countries. Cambodia and Myanmar, from this experience, are safe. Just use a bit of common sense, that is it.

Keep in mind that Cambodia is more crowded with many tourists , whereas, Myanmar is less crowded because it is still new to tourists.

Thanks, actually that sunset one required the least amount of post work just because like you said, it is nice already with the colors. I think thanks to the great camera and the lens, which helped me a in making these quick shots nicer than I would usually be able to get. For that picture, the lens was 70-200 F4 VR. Most of other pictures were taken with the 16-35mm F4 VR, another great lens!

Thanks! yes, the 8 and 9 are also my favorites, with 9 edged out 8 because of the way the lady gazed out the window and also her seasoned face and hands.
