Nice, Bud! Happy New Year! You're off to a great start. My fave here is by far the newborn. Great shot. My big struggle is always newborns.
As for the fitness guy, love how you showed his muscles. Just curious about his chest. His skin appears ruddy, not sure if that's from processing or if his skin just looks that way.
G'day mate,
Thanks for taking a look.
I'm no expert with newborns but i like doing them especially when I get good results. I think the most important thing is patience and I think that's why women photographers are way better than males in this field.
A couple of things i have learned.
1. Patience
2. Warmth, keep baby as warm as possible...I was sweating during that shoot.
3. Have plenty of throws, blankets, rugs etc. baby will poop and pee a lot lol.
4. Have parents help (see Shot below}
5. Shoot a little wide and leave room for creative cropping (see shot below)
For the baby shoot...i had dad help me out by holding the babies head steady, i framed the shot told him to let go and took a few shots before baby tipped over.
I have seen some really great shots with the baby on his elbows...not sure how comfy for the baby that is.

Now for shooting wide. below shot i used a 35mm and shot a bit wider to allow me to frame the end shot.
simply by cropping and turning the frame in this case anti clockwise.
I had to clone in some of the blue wrap as i left my self short.
original shot.

Regarding Josh., I see what your talking about...he had a few chest hairs (not many) an dI think the processing have made them look odd.
I will post more from his set when they are completed.
Again, thanks for looking mate
