This guy came into our backyard today. I couldn't catch him (or her) in good light before he took off, so this is the best I could get. I hope it comes back when I can catch it in better light.

That was a difficult angle on this one and I think your meter got fooled a bit, might try 'spot exposure' in a case like this next time as a suggestion.
I don't think I have seen one of these before so thanks for the visual education

Thanks for the tip Karl. Yeah, I was actually in my house with the door opened. Took it handheld. Didn't think he'd stick around if I walked out into the yard. It was only there for 30 seconds or so.
