Looking north on a hot and still summer evening.

If you look closely, you might see some harbour lights and an incoming boat.

Shot with the 5Dmkiii 70-200mm at about 200mm with a LEE CPL & Big Stopper combo.

Thanks all for the comments and enjoying the image.

I've always wanted to return to the ocean in a different way than before and was able to succeed on this night. As there was almost no wind at all and had a high enough vantage, I no longer needed to continuously wipe down my filters.

Shooting from high up was a plus too as I was able to exclude the rocks and reef that i had previously sought to include. I love minimalism in photography.

The big stopper seemed like it really helped pull in the strong pink hue in the sky. Nicely done.
