These are spectacular Binh! You have a wonderful eye! The last one is a prize winner for sure!
Is it possible for you to share the names of some of the shrines, places, temples under each image?
The one of the child monk in one of the windows is priceless!
Darn fine images all!
Dan
Yes, there is no problem to share these locations, if I know the name!
There are more than 4000+ shrines/stupas/temples in Bagan alone. There are many large ones in Mandalay. The young monk in the window is at the old monastery near Inle, and the name of it is on the title of my page here: http://bpham.com/gallery/young-monk-shwe-yan-pyay-monastery-nyaung-shwe-myanmar/
In general, if you hire a local tour guide in each place, Bagan, Mandalay, Inle, they should know almost the same places that they should take tourists there. Some local tour guides know some of their favorites and so you'd want to ask them about the not so popular ones that they like.
For me I had no tour guides, i just went there, hired a taxi driver or horse carriage driver for the whole day, negotiate the price, and asked them to take me to certain well-known places as well as their places that are not so well-known.
For the one in Bagan, where I took the last image with the balloons, it was the horse carriage driver who took me there at 5am, as I already used him the day before for the sunset spots. If you want to hire him, he is in front of the Bagan Thande hotel and his name is Lela, a nice and trust worthy guy. For other times in Bagan, I hired a van for the whole day, which took me to various places, shrines, temples, lunches, etc...very comfortable and air-conditioned van. The driver also knew some beautiful shrines with nice Buddha statues inside. I've not processed those pictures yet .
Any other question, just let me know and I will answer them if I remember or know.
