The typically western Ferruginous Hawk has no business being in SW Louisiana but lo and behold nobody told him. I'm not certain how many of these large Buteos have been documented in Louisiana but I think it is somewhere around eight.

Thanks for looking,
Tom

Please post your images here. Most don't go to your site to view them. Don

I've asked him that before and never even had the courtesy of a response. I gave up caring...so much other amazing stuff to view in the comfort of my N&W home. I don't see how it would be too difficult to post his images in thread since they are already hosted on a server for his blog.

Hi Don,
First of all it is a pleasure viewing your amazing avian pictures along with other FMers. There are truly some accomplished photographers here and it is a pleasure to be a member of FM. My photography has grown over the years largely due to suggestions/tips from FM members and it is much appreciated.

I used to post bird pictures to our state birding bulletin bird site to share with birders. This process included uploading each picture to Photobucket, copying and pasting the link for each picture along with supplying any remarks / narration. Using this method a viewer would have to click on the picture link to see one picture then go back to the thread to retrieve the next picture link, click on it and so on. The solution was the utilization of a blog whereby a viewer had to click but once to see all pictures complete with narration / remarks and have the ability to go back to review any previous pictures if desired. It was a win-win situation for the viewers and me. Blogspot does not require a host site for uploading pictures therefore you eliminate copying and pasting links for any and all pictures.

To post to FM (or at least the way I know it) I upload each picture to Photobucket, copy each link to the thread and reenter all remarks effectively doubling the work. Why double the work when the same results can be achieved by posting a blog link where the work was already done? It requires but one click of the mouse to view the pictures.

Those are my reasons and I certainly mean no offense to anyone. If I am overlooking an easier way to post to FM please clue me in.

Best,
Tom
