Wow quite a price. These things have really come down from the $1500, even months later, days of the 20D.

The on-sensor is AF is nice but that introduction price was quite a stretch.

The DSLR market has become a buyer's market. So, the prices ... they will fall

I see only good times ahead of us. The 6D has been selling for $1500, for example.
And Canon has no choice but to put better specs in the 6DII. Will be awesome, me thinks.

Amazon has the 70D with the 18-135 STM for $1199, so for $250 more you get a nice lens.

Could anyone please answer my question as to whether the $950 price is a sale or a new "fixed" price? I'd like to know if I should hurry.

Watching Amazon prices, the prices fluctuate. Last week..the 6D was $1415.00. A month before..it had gone to $1699.00, and now it's back to $1499.00

A month ago, the 60D was $699.00, then $599.00. Last week it was $519.00, now it's back to $599.00

I would say..if you want it, buy the 70D now, as it's probably not a fixed, but temporary price. I don't see it dropping much lower (as it's a newer model) in the next few weeks.

Amazon now has the 70D with 18-135 STM for $1,099, so price dropped $100 during the day. So only $150 more for the lens.

Wow...so I guess buying this camera after the first $100 price drop wasn't a good idea...

I don't think I've ever seen the price fall this far this fast on a new model...the 18-135 kit price has dropped like 25+% since intro.

That's true. With the current special, the price with the 18-135 STM is less than with the 18-55.
The 18-135 STM is selling by itself for $499 minus $30 at Amazon and B&H.

I just checked and the price for the 70D with 18-135 STM is back up to $1249, but the body only is still running $949.
