Can't seem to find a Nikon grip for this body, so out of all the third party ones, which one has the best build quality ?

This is just one. I have seen Meike rated favorably on other Nikons. I have used several brands on various cameras with good results.

I don't think that Nikon ever made a grip for the D5100.

I have the Meike - works good, has a vertical shutter button and has a place to store the battery door. Only thing is that you have to tighten it real well in order for it to stay tight.

That's because it would cost almost as much as the body's going for these days.
