Here're a few more from my trip to Antelope Canyon last week.
Not the photo tour, so no tripod allowed. Considering it was cloudy, the colors were still amazing.

c and c appreciated.

Nice compositions that worked well despite your concerns about the light. Considering the slow shutter speeds and no tripod, these are remarkably sharp. I like the compositions best in numbers 2 and 3--the herringbone diagonals in #2 and the symmetry in #3 work very well. Number one might look better if you crop from the right to put more emphasis on the diagonal sigmoid shape as the focal point of the composition, and also mute the glare from what appear to be blown-out whites.

Nice compositions. It is always a challenge to photograph these slot canyons. I like the suggestion to crop made by John above.

Hey Kelly,

These are really nice, good work considering you had to shoot without a tripod in those lower light conditions. My favorites are #1 and 3.

So how come you didn't take a photo tour? It's worth the extra cost.

Thanks John and Maji.
Jim, they had already booked the photo tours when I got there at 12:30. I was lucky to get in on the last regular tour of the day (which they added right while I was standing there). They were way busier than they thought they would be.

Nice ones Kelly. This is on my bucket list. What lens(es) did you use?

Thanks,

Dave

I don't think cloudy skies hurt much at all. These have a more natural look than many with direct light entering the canyon. Very sharp without a tripod, I'd say you did very well.

You did well without having a tripod. Great colors and composition.
