I don't consider myself a good landscape photographer, however I'm pretty proud of this one, mainly because 1) it included myself in a really cool place and 2) I did actually envision the whole thing before making the click (something I value more and more in our craft).

However, weather was really cloudy and I did struggle a lot with processing this image. So, I know it has many things which could be improved upon. And I'm here asking for advice and new interpretations; basically, given the original, how would you have processed it?

Other kinds of comments & critique are highly welcome.

Thank you in advance for the feedback.

Diggin' the vision of creation ... certainly a much better selfie than most I've seen.

My first question for processing is "What's the point?" or "What's the message that I want to convey to my viewer?"

That is what guides / steers my PP decisions. So, to that end what aspect of the image is it that you want to most convey to your viewer(s) ... be that for yourself or others?

Oh, that's pretty easy to answer, I wanted to display an aspect of my life that's actually adventurous and exciting, compared to my usual "computer programming from 9 to 5" lifestyle

I like your processing
The sense of exploration and implied adventure works
How is this a selfie? Who shot it? Tripod, timed?

Voice activated remote control AKA girlfriend

I just told her where to sit, where to point the camera to, took a picture so she could see how I wanted it framed, told her where I'd be in the image, then left the camera in her hands (focus & exposure stuff already adjusted) so she could press that big button that goes 'click'. Worked like a charm :P
