Hello to the forum! Amateur bird photographer since about 5 years. First upload to the Nature forum. Looking to improve my capture and post-processing technique. Currently shooting exclusively birds plus the occasional travel and family pictures.
I took the bellow images at Lake Hodges, California during the month of October. Crazy but Clark's and Western Grebes nested late this year. More than 100 nests were built. The light in the early morning led to some good pictures of Western Grebes rushing and courting. C&C welcome.
I also made this video during the spring of grebes rushing scored to Swan Lake:

Welcome to the forum Bruno. This is a great set to start with. I enjoyed your video and it shows the challenges of getting a clean shot yet you did get some of the wonderful dance. On the last photo, you might want to darken the band of OOF foliage a touch. It captures a real nice moment with the chick getting a ride.

Thanks all for the replies!
My favorite is No. 3 but most people liked better 2 & 4 which is excellent feedback. No. 2 is a little blurry for large print due to the slow shutter speed (1/500). Shame because I still had plenty of ISO before noise concerns.

Welcome Bruno. You are at the right place to get some good help. 2, 3, and 4 are my picks. The last shot would be a pick without the lone grass blade. I enjoyed the video too ~ Ron
