Love the shots (my avatar may show some bias).

I notice on your Flickr that you use the 6D pretty heavily for your basketball photos. Generally, how has your experience been with that body as a basketball shooter, particularly the AF? I hear that the center AF point is a strong point, but haven't heard much about the 6D in terms of action photography.

Full disclosure: I currently shoot with a D300, but I've had a Canon itch for a while. I'm not really planning on "switching" systems, but I occasionally like to get foolish with money and really have a hankering to "supplement" my current equipment. I went on a long hiatus from photography in general thanks to grad school and a career, but I'd like to revisit shooting basketball again with more capable low-light equipment.

shundaroni...first, thanks for the comments. I have only had the 6D for a couple of weeks. I was hesitant to use it for basketball at first, until I used it!. I wouldn't hesitate to use it for action photography, just have to time your shots a little better. It only shoots 4.5 fps. I think the image quality and colors are outstanding straight out of the camera. The shots above were cropped a bit but no other processing was done.
