I'm looking for a case to store all my studio stuff in. I don't have a studio so when I'm done shooting it has to get put away.

I'd be looking to store something along the lines of:
2x AB800s
2x Reversible Stands
2x Regular Light Stands
2x Medium Softbox (folded up into their bags obviously)
1x Extra Large Softbox (folded up into its bag)
1x Background crossbar
Various speedrings, triggers, speedlights, cables, powerbars, extension cords, all that kind of stuff.

What does everyone use for storing this kind of stuff?

Sort through the cases at B & H. I'm sure you'll find something there:

You'll have more choice and flexibility if you get two cases, one for your stands and modifiers and one for your lights, cords, and other bits and pieces.

I've got a similar set up and this bag is supposed to arrive today:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/253512-REG/Photoflex_FV_SLBAG1KIT_Transpac_Single_Kit_Case.html

I looked at all of the bags on B&H and most of the cheaper ones where just that and had some bad reviews for not lasting.

This bag seemed to be rated well. I'll let you know once I get it packed, maybe get some pictures for you.

I use two cheap, black plastic foot lockers from a big box store. One fits 4 AB lights in their storage bags along with cords, remotes and spare bulbs. The other fits all the modifiers and other misc. stuff. One light stand bag and I'm good to go!

Deal of the century for lightstand bags and it's only thirty bucks from Amazon. It's long enough and has enough volume to hold a steel cine stand with wheels attached, two Master stands, a couple of 86" PLM's and a couple of 60" umbrellas.

Came in after 5. Took a quick look. It is a nice case and seems fairly well constructed. More room than I was expecting. I'll lay everything out and grab a photo or two tomorrow if I can find a bit of time.

I have a couple questions for you

When you say Cine Stands do you mean C-Stands? If so which ones do you have? I'm wondering if my Matthews will fit.

Second, looks like you're in Canada. Did you buy it from Amazon.com? It says they only ship to the US and the ones on Amazon.ca are twice as much

I was referring to the steel Manfrotto Cine Stand. It's usually sold with a boom and you can get wheels for it. With the wheels attached its rather bulky and the legs don't completely collapse. If your C stands are much longer than 4 ft. collapsed they won't fit. If your C stands have a turtle base then the risers should fit; I'm not sure if the base will fit in the bag. You may have to store them separately.

It's not unusual for photographic items to cost twice as much on amazon.ca vs amazon.com. Even still, that's not a bad price. I looked around for lightstand bags locally and couldn't find anything reasonable for under $150. Fortunately for me I only live 15 min from the US border so it's not a big deal to hop across and pick up an order. B&H has the same bag for the same price as amazon.com. They can probably ship it to you in Canada but after freight, duties, and taxes it may not be any cheaper than at amazon.ca.

Here is the Photoflex with pictures of what I'm going to try to fit and what actually fit. The small bag of speed lights actually wasn't planned to go in, but it held some of the triggers and was debating if I wanted to move anything from that bag. In the end, I didn't.

So:

2 AB800's with all standard accessories from PCB
5 stands with several different rods and attachments
2 Westcott 60" umbrellas
1 Westcott 42" Apollo Softbox
2 Small umbrellas - not even sure where they came from.
2 36" collapsible reflectors
Clamps, tape, more clamps.

Overall I was pretty impressed. I feel that if I spent a bit of time packing and fitting a little bit better, I could easily get a third AB in there. The case seems sturdy. The zippers are strong and the wheels look like they will hold up well. The bag felt very balanced once I zipped it up and rolled it around.

The light modifiers all fit under the flap on the lid.

I have that ^ surprisingly robust Onstage bag. It, along with
this Gator case for my Bees, makes a sturdy, cheap, two-case solution.

That Photoflex roller looks pretty great, though.

MX727 - add one of the rollup stand cases to your photo flex case and you'll be able to fit all your lights:

I have found this to be a handy and very affordable box to carry virtually all my equipment around in: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Stanley-37-in-Mobile-Job-Box-037025H/202300294

It really makes getting into the location much easier. I can store both cameras, 3 lights, stands, tripod, monopod, lights, softboxes, and much more in here. And it's on wheels!!

I use this case for my light stands and umbrellas. It's plenty large enough for (4) Manfrotto 1004BAC stands and several umbrellas.
