p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Skippy Working

While in between projects at work, I took a little time to play with my Sigma 70-300mm lens. This is one of the guys I work with whose answering emails and working on an important presentation.

For me they're too tight...You needed to frame a bit looser so we can see his environment around him.

As portraits I rather like the tightness. If you want to show what he's doing, though, then a bit wider would make a difference. I've had a pro photog say the first thing to notice before taking a shot is the background, and these backgrounds are bright and colorful, which makes them a little distracting. An inquiring eye notices that the backgrounds are totally different, yet the subject is basically in the same position. Is the background a video or something?

The main subject is nice and sharp and obviously concentrating on what he's doing, and that was probably your main intent.

My two cents.
