Had a chance to go out-of-the box for a wedding.

Checked with on-site Pro, no objections, I promised not to poach. So, as seen from sort of 'off-stage' - appreciate your thoughts and suggestions just about every aspect.

Thanks for looking,

Bob

Bob,
I think this is an excellent series.
Each shows careful attention to the frame, excellent timing to capture natural expressions, fine conversions, and good choice of DOF.
And it looks like you are loving the camera.
I may start to drool a bit....

Bob-
I agree with Scott about everything he said (except the drooling ).
These are really excellent candids.
Even the "formal" shot of the two children walking down the aisle has several very nice aspects to it. It took a few seconds to notice the top of the organist's head- and it gave me another smile.

Scott & Charlie,

Thanks for your kind comments - happy you enjoy the images.

As an aside, it was fun, the small footprint of the Fuji made it very inconspicuous. Pushed the limits of the gear (I think) as there was very little light and I kept a good distance so as not to interfere.

Did many more in color for the groom's family but this experience makes me appreciate the work of wedding photogs - the many and varied light temps drove me nuts trying to keep a uniform WB across the set. This is not something I would want to do on a regular basis.

Anyway, two more to close the book on the session...(last really pushes the envelop)

Regards,

Bob

Really love the tones in the last 2 above, I think it fits well with the young ladies

Bob, some nice work here just wish that no 3 had been taken from a lower pov to get the crouching girl's face more visible. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks Phil,

Wish I'd taken more of them at that point but the train already left the station
Happy holidays!

Thanks Douglas,

Agreed but lying on the floor would not have worked well I don't recall what caught their attention in the lobby as the bride entered from that staircase.

Glad you enjoyed the images - wishing you and everyone a great Thanksgiving and Hanukkah too!
