Some days you get incredibly lucky. Traveling to the Bay Area for work, I was lucky to have a day where we finished a bit early. I decided to head to the city and see how things were looking without really having a location in mind, I just knew I wanted to try and grab some photos. My first thought was to head to the Presidio and go down by the water, however the marine layer was pretty thick. The Golden Gate Bridge was completely obscured so I scratched that idea and continued driving. As I was halfway over the bridge, I noticed the clouds were starting to break and there was a chance I may be able to salvage something. I decided to head to one of the vantage points west of the bridge and attempt to get above the clouds. Conditions started getting better and better as the clouds moved in and out showing portions of the bridge. Once sunset came around, my earlier decision to drive across the bridge couldn't have been any better. Sometimes dumb luck pays off and you are in the right place at the right time to catch an awesome display.
Any and all comments are appreciated. I have others to post from this same outing, and I will be sure to share as I get through them.
