Moss mantid backlit:
Normally a simple green leaf, this leaf gall inhabitant has completely subverted the plant's vascular system to feed the growing pupa inside:
Crab spider?:
Spider:
Ant infected with Cordyceps fungus:
Crab orbweaver (Gasteracantha arcuata):
An interesting Gasteracantha that differs from the other G. arcuata that I've found in that it has iridescent green 'tails'. An interesting colour variant from Bokor hill.
Harvestman:
Weevil-mimicking cicadellid:
And the most interesting for last...Now it's not often that I come across something that I've never seen or even heard of and yet here I was utterly baffled! The mimicry extends to the behaviour and the cicadellid will actually walk backwards to further the illusion. Found during a day hike in Angkor Wat temple complex. While everyone was marvelling at Angkor I was in the bushes snapping away at this guy.
