Now this is something different. We have quite a few albino deer around here, never seen a buck though. I can't tell looking at the pic. Is it a true albino, where the eyes pink?
Obviously, it has survived a number of years give the antler size. This is a neat shot Rich. The setting and snow make the image even more interesting.
His eyes are actually more white but his nose has a pink tint. So I don't know if he is a "true" albino or not. But an impressive animal either way.
This deer lives within our city limits and cannot legally be hunted. So automobiles are his biggest enemy. Had he not been white, I probably would have never spotted him in this field of tall grass.
Congrats on the unique find and excellent capture. We had one locally a couple of years ago on a wildlife refuge but the pouchers got him before I had a chance to photograph him.
They will not last long in hunting areas as they cannot hide very well.
