"Pushed to the edge" that's what Katie told me afterwards regarding this pose . Indeed, there was not much surface on the fence for her to balance plus, we were leery about the fence falling apart. I ended up only taking 4-5 images there instead of more normally and here is one of them. She likes the results though.

Have any reservation about the Sigma 135 Art, beautiful shot!

Thank you, Dan! The Sigma 135mm Art is truly a superb lens, even at wide open. I have used it quite a bit for portraits.

You are asking the wrong guy with the second question though. I don't know the answer to that; sorry . I knew it was brand new since I saw her remove the label right there at the site.

Good to know the Sig 135 has your approval, my wife said for you ask her next time you see her where she got it
More shots of her in that shawl would appease my wife too

I sent a message to her regarding that clothing piece and I will let you know later via PM. Here is another image of her but due to the shallow depth-of-field, a part of that clothing piece is not in focus though..... Obviously, I put the focus on her face.

BTW, I used the face recognition mode through the session using this adapter lens and it worked great in AF-C. Out of 200 images or so captured this way, maybe on 4-5 of them the AF was slightly off on the closest eye because the face of the models was more sideways. So, the focus was more on the side of the face and not critically sharp on the eye. But it visible only at a really high magnification on the monitor and I am being critical examining that. The A9 with the latest firmware would enable Eye-AF using this adapted Canon mount lens but my A9 would be more for wildlife at this point. Just FYI.

@Pierre

you have seen correctly. The picture was with Loxia 50, not 85. Thank you.

Great page my friends

Sony A7 II + Sony Zeiss Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS by Ronny Olsson, on Flickr

A little debate about 16-35 and Loxia
Maybe it depend on how good copy you've got or have
I think my is quite okay ... maybe not a top ex but it performs well enough for my needs. However, I still maintain that my Loxia delivers a little better sharpness
microcontrast and colors than my copy of 16-35
maybe that it had performed a little better on the A7R II?
I used it only on the A7II in Iceland

I've just returned from 4 days in Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore in N. Michigan. I'll post samples as I get things worked up...lots of infrared and some color. Here's an old barn within the National Lakeshore at sunset...the park is filled with historic structures and farms. A7RII, Loxia 85.
