p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · the antarctics: question!

This question is for the ones who "been there and done that."
I am looking at this frozen place for next year.
As I see, there are three options:
1--Faulkland and South Georgia: I love the king Penguins, hundreds of thousands of them--birds ---of Faulkland.
But the question: what about the ice-landscapes?
2---South pole: can this one take place of South Georgia?
3---all of them: the problem: very pricy and to-long, almost a month. If possible I would avoid this one, but again I don't want to miss the essential of the Antarctics!!!

So if you know the place, places, please ...

Regarding #3, I look at it this way: A big part of the cost is getting there and back, so stay as long as you can. In addition, by being there longer, you have more time to understand the places and the best ways to photograph them. It also gives you more opportunities to work with things that you can't control, like weather. This gives you more opportunities for successes and more bang for your buck.

It will be a cruising trip Cost: $20000.00 to $45000.00.---24 days on ship, very long--- The flight from Miami is paid by them if I book before december (one year before the trip). If I pay for the flight it will be for sure less than $1000.00, unsignificant compared with the cruising.

the other options will be lesss than 2 weeks and the cost is half.
