Here are some images from this morning at the lake. A couple of the compositions got a bit cramped/lopped off feathers as I floated a bit too close. I went with a higher ISO than I usually shoot with to keep Tv up high. I think that helped a bit with sharpness. If they seem a bit dark, it's because it was a terribly misty and overcast morning, and I'd like to present the environment as I saw and felt it.

Please keep the great suggestions and constructive criticisms coming!

Really nice work Mitesh, you are starting to click with that combo

I love to photograph cormies so I can really relate to the first part of this set. I was looking at 2 and thinking how that shot could be improved, faster shutter, more dof and then got to 3 where you have all that. 3 is a wonderful shot, it really stands out from the rest of the set. Keep in mind how you created that one, it rocks!

Great set mitesh. I don't think you suffered at all from the higher ISOs. With the 5D3, 3200 is totally find IMO and 6400 is okay also but usually needs a little bit of luminance NR in LR where as 3200 often doesn't. As Tim already mentioned the 2nd could have used some more SS but it still worked out great. I see you shot mostly at f/8, I think you could just shoot wide open as the DOF doesn't increase very much anyways at f/8 from f/5.6 with a 800mm lens and then you would have freedom to either up the SS or decrease the ISO back to your own comfortable levels.

My favourite cormie shot is the 3rd and I also like all the gull shots. Thanks for sharing.
