I spent 4 days in the Talamanca Range (Savegre River Area) during my most recent travels to Costa Rica. I love to shoot the flora and fauna throughout the country and have traveled there eight times now with a research trip planned for March, 2014.
I am not much of a bird photographer,… maybe it's the saturation of birders or the fact that I tend to miss peak moments more often than not. Nevertheless, Costa Rica's cloud forests are a birder's paradise and, as they say, "When in Rome…
Anyway, these were all shot with my 5D mark iii, 300 f2.8L IS and 2x mark iii. Most of the images were taken at ISO 800 w/ my tripod.
