I can't get enough of these eagles. I'm heading off early tomorrow AM to get down there by sunrise. I will leave everyone with this last set from my visit 2 weeks ago. I will hopefully be bringing home some even better action shots after this weekend. Hope you enjoy...

How long is the drive from Whitehorse? The first two shots in this series are top notch stuff. I like your BG and light and the whites are perfect. Don

400km from Whitehorse. The speed is up to you 2 weeks ago there wasn't any snow on the roads. Tomorrow will be a different story.

Thanks Karl.
Yes, I should level that horizon. Didn't even look at it. Usually for these eagle shots we don't have to worry about horizons. No lightening was done on #2. Actually no adjustments except for sharpening was done and a little "Clarity" in LR. I have a bunch of shots where the eyes take on that clear look. I don't really like it either but it is natural when the light hits it in the right way.

Wow..
I wonder how much practice does it take to reach a point where you start taking pictures like you Maybe tens of years.
Love each and every shot that you post.

I second Don's comment. 1&2 and great exposure. 400 km is quite a drive to get there by sunrise especially if there is ice and snow. Take care.

Thank you very much Sumtiw. I appreciate it. As for experience, I bought my first DSLR (Canon XSi with kit lens) in October 2008. I never knew it would become my number-one past time and cost me a small fortune but it has and I enjoy it every time I can get out into nature.

Thanks for the comment braam.

Just remember, up north here, our sunrises at this time of year are fairly late. Sunrise tomorrow is 7:49AM Alaska time which is 8:49AM my time.

Wow..
My first Cam was a 1000D (Rebel XS) that I bought in 2010. I still have to learn a lot from you guys.
